Editor++

The Editor++ is the OpenInsight tool used for creating and/or editing stored procedures, data records and inserts. This section of the documentation provides information about Editor functionality, steps for accessing, a description of the interface, and procedures for using the Editor.

The System Editor is most often used to write stored procedures using Basic+. In addition, the System Editor is also used to create or modify linear hash data table & system table records and inserts.

The Editor++ can be accessed via the System Monitor by typing "EXEC RTI_EDITOR".

Note: To access the Editor, navigate to the RTI_Editor entity in the Application Manager under OpenInsight Executables - OpenInsight Form Executables. Shift+DoubleClick on the item or click on the item and choose Execute from the Entity menu and the Editor will execute. The Editor can also be accessed by typing EXEC RTI_EDITOR and pressing the Enter key in the System Monitor.
