Terms and Definitions

Record: a row from any of the system tables or OpenInsight native tables attached to the current application. Attached tables and their respective rows are listed in the Open Record dialog box, as shown below.

The Rows list displays the key field of the selected table. When the table uses a multiple field key, they are "*" separated. For more information on system tables, refer to Appendix A in this manual.

Insert: a record stored in the system SYSPROCS table that contains any information used to modularize code and enhance code readability, such as Declare or Common statements, equates, etc.
