As noted in an earlier message, our company just purchased 2 new PII 350 workstations. We had 3Com 10/100 cards installed. When we put these on our network we started getting FS461 errors. We tried all the suggestions given to others ie. add the /r and /c parameters on the LHIPXTSR command line, specifying a frame type in the IPX/SPX protocol in Win95, increase the number of sockets on the workstation, Dancing in circles while sacrificing a chicken to the techi god and pray s/he's in a favorable mood. On one of the new workstations it eventually worked. Then another workstation, not a new one but one that had been working fine got the error. We changed the sockets and it worked. On the other new workstation that was still giving us problems, we decided to replace the NIC with another 3Com 10/100 that we had on hand. After swapping the NIC's and installing the drivers we had for it, everything worked fine. I believe that the drivers that we had on had were different (possibly older) than the ones that

came installed on the computer. Either the drivers, the NIC, or the chicken did the trick. Why?
