When I send anything to the printer (from TCL, RLIST, from Basic), the report prints only when I log off of AREV. At that point, it prints immediately. All other printing (from WIN98 and from DOS) is fine. Any clues? Thanks.
Network: Peer-To-Peer LAN
Operating System: WIN 98
AREV Version: 2.12
Printers: HP-4PLUS & HP-4000T

Other DOS packages? No
History? Unable to determine exactly when it started hapening.
Printing has never been a problem in 9 years of AREV...

You should create a situation that the printjob is finished from the point of view of the network. In Novell p.e. you would enable autoendcap.
Years ago, we had in the beginning the same problem using LANtastic.
We solved after a short period but I don't remember how anymore. It is so long ago.
If you tell me which network you have I might be able to help further.

The real problem is that Arev does not close a print file, it just stops sending data. You have to work with your spooler and set a time out parameter. In Novell its the /TI=15 parameter, but I am not framiliar with Win98 or your spooler. Hope this helps, email me if I can be of any help. Tom Dodds tdodds@informcorp.com
