I wish to create a DDELink with Excel, pass variables and automatically display a pie chart/bar chart in Excel.

Example :

Variable 1 =Males'

Variable 1 =Females'

Variable 2 =1000'

Variable 2 =1540'

I would pass the 2 variables to Excel showing the number of males against females graphically.

Any Suggestions ?

use DDEDATA to fill the range then use DDECOMMAND to launch a macro to plot the graph and copy it into the clipboard then paste elsewhere.

We've got an app which uses this technique to produce a 30 page report in WinWord combining Excel Pies, tables and graphs in the language of the user.

Quite a bit of work (50 days in total) but the results look great.
