I have Lotus Notes R5 and just downloaded the OI 3.7 Evaluation, it didn't seem to find where Notes is residing.

Also, if I try to use the RDK feature with "EXAMPLES", I get error messages that certain files associated with Reporter can't be found. Is this suppose to happen and how do I correct this.

Marty,

I never used Notes but remember from old postings it has to be a 16-bit version to run with OI. Could that be your problem - that your Notes is 32-bit???

You might be correct on that. It is R5 which is the latest, so I need to find R4 or R3.

What about the RDK in the evaluation copy. I still can't get it to work properly. Makes it awfully difficult to evaluate the evaluation.

If I remember right, R5 had a 16 bit install. All you really need to do though is shove the 16 bit dlls into the dll directory. They have different names so won't conflict. OI will use what it needs and should work fine, at least it used to back in 1996.

You might have discussed this earlier, but why haven't you upgraded from 3.61?

Just curious. Meanwhile, Happy Thanksgiving (an American Holiday)!

Ray,

The reasons I've not ugraded from OI 3.61 are

- not got around to it yet…

- 3.61 hasn't given me any particular problems (been lucky with the OICGI problems so far).
