Hi,

We seem to be getting "Too many levels of TCL, you are limited to 9 levels. The TCL window will not be displayed."

We're running Arev3.12 with the NLM, the Errors are occuring mostly on PC running DOS (not windows).

Anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks.

You're not trying to display too many levels of TCL are you? ;-)

What's the error number?

Okay, try this as a shot in the dark…

I just experienced this (today as a matter of fact) where I have been able to connect a 286 machine to a Win95 server. Environment is networked RevG2 on a Win95 server using MS Networking and a DOS 6.22 workstation with the MS Client.

While running first tests, I kept trying to bring up an entry screen off of a menu. Wouldn't go. By the time I dropped out to TCL, I had 5-6 colons, indicating levels. It seems I ran out a running room but Rev somehow kept dropping TCL levels anyway. No wonder, with all the resident driver stuff I had to load. I was able to strip down my resident devices and drivers so now have a reasonable amount of work space. I'm now looking for utilities that will access UMBs on a 286 so I can create a comfortable margin.

Hope this is useful,

I have to ask "why are you using a 286 when 486's alsmot as cheap as a packet of M&Ms"

Yeah, welll… We go one. It works. Whatt can I say? I's got cheap clients. (And who dooesn't…)

Actually, it is lauching me into the concept of "thin clients." If I can do it on a 286, I can do it ANYWHERE !!!!
