Memory leak ?? (OpenInsight 32-bit Specific)

Hi all,
We are having some issues with long-running processes (OI 7.2.1, UD3) in that after a couple of days one of the daily functions on this process grinds along really slowly, stopping and re-starting the process resolves the issue.
A daily re-start each morning is preventing the problem for the moment, but has anyone else had any of these issues - is there a known memory leak at all ??
TIA,
Simon

There were several known memory leaks but as of the current version of OI all KNOWN memory leaks have been addressed.

The release notes for 7.2.2 indicate several leaks were stopped. 7.3 and 8.0 do not list any that were fixed. Were memory leak fixes included in either that are not listed?
We are having issues at one client, where they are regularly dumped out of OI with a crash in oengine.dll. Upgrading from 7.2.1 to 7.2.2 moved the memory location of the crash that terminal server reports, but did not stop the crashes.

Ahh that isn't a memory leak problem Karen, it's a buffer overrun or attempt to dereference a null/invalid pointer ;).

ok, I'll bite – is THAT fixed in 7.3 or 8.0 (well 8.01, since we won't upgrade to the .0 version at client sites)?

Karen,
There are no *known* issues that would cause a GPF in OENGINE (which sounds like what you're seeing). If you've got one that you can regularly reproduce then let Revelation know the details so it can be fixed. You might also find extra info in the Event Log that would help.
