We are running AREV 3.12 on WINT server, with several indexors worksations. This could be a Index classic problem which I am sure many of you have encountered too.

the message at indexor says:

" The index Row 'PARTNER**91348' is missing. The index column 'PARTNER' in the table 'PARTCOMMITS' should be rebuilt. "

Now the indexed field is a BTREE index. The table has about 4000 records.

I have used all system/manual rebuilds as far as reindex/rebuild are

concerned. No luck. Finally I wrote the missing record in the

!PARTCOMMITS table and the Error disappears for couple of days and back again. Is this a broken index chain in !PARTCOMMITS table or some thing else ? I am getting a new missing record every couplle of days. Eventually I get this error message:

"The Index for 'PARTNER' contains an internal error and cannot be accessed properly. You may want to rebuild this index. "

I take everyone/system off the network. Remove/Rebuild index for the table. And the problem cycle continues….

ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you confident that

a) locking is working between workstations

b) all workstations have write behind cacheing disabled

c) all shortcuts are configured correctly

as this sounds like a configuration problem.
