We noted, that in OI XLATEs with FILE.NAME or FIELD.NAME in lower case do not evaluate correctly, although the same dictionary item or programm segment runs without problem in AREV.

Is this a fact, or a configuration problem of our OI application.

Based on my experience, you are correct. THINGS must be in uppercase.

If I take you literally then there are 2 issues:

1. OI won't stand for LOWER case entries for FILE.NAME or FIELD.NAME in an XLATE.

2. It also won't stand for a DOT (.) in FILE_NAME or FIELD_NAME. AREV 3.x didn't seem to care if you turned on the DOTS option (which many people converting from 2.x did).

Also, if you're converting from AREV, make absolutely certain that there is a data type for the symbolics.

Just another little annoyance.
