PIF files for 2K and XP (AREV Specific)

Good morning to you all.
I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with this problem. Our users that are running Windows 2K or XP will receive the following error: c:\documents and settings\allusers\desktop\advanced.pif
Invalid startup directory please check your .pif file
The users will be going along fine, close their AREV sessions and when they attempt top start another session that error occurs. The only solution, so far, has been to close all windows and reboot. Does anyone have any information about the .pif file that needs to be set or changed to eliminate this error?
Thank You

I think it would be helpful to post some more information ie
1. ALL the settings on your shortcut ie settings for each page. (I suspect the close on exit is not ticked or something similar.)
2. Script in the Config.nt and autoexec.nt which are typically called when loading a dos session
3. Is Arev running off a Server (which - Novell / NT etc)
4. are you running any LH Service / NLM
5. Version of Arev
I note the error message refers to advanced settings - might look at the themes and turn off - set to classic. This sometimes causes problems in XP.

try coping your shortcut into the all users desktop under doucments and setting instead, sounds like it's looking for another users profile
