Arev major problem (AREV Specific)

We are running arev 2.something and whenever we go into our app it freezes as soon as you try to enter any data, pressing F5 to bring up the prompt window also freezes the app without bringing up the window and exiting the app causes it to hang as well.
I have no real AREV admin knowledge (only a bit of coding experience) as the person who knew it best has left our company.
Has anyone experienced this problem before and can offer help.

It could be that an index is corrupt, out of temp disk space, a bad network card/router, improper network driver etc.
