After reading the README files and preparing the directory and its files (read-write permissions, share etc).

Attempted to install a LAN pack on a runtime AREV 3.12 (operating on NT). Ran AREV LANPACK and selected LAN Pack.

It said that I currently had three users and whether I wanted to install another user. Selected Yes and then the drive. It immediately threw me to the NT memory dump and rebooted the system.

I decided to look on the floppy disk and it gave me an invalid media message. I took out the disk and put it back in - same thing. I did the same and tried again and was able to read it.

I then logged back in through AREV LANPACK and it said that I currently had three users installed and if I wanted to add another one. I said Yes and selected the drive. It said that it wasn't a valid LAN Pack disk.

The disk has obviously not worked but is unusable. Is there any way I can salvage this LAN Pack? Any assistance would be helpful.

Giles

I suggest you contact Revelation Software to arrange a replacement. LANPACK bump disks can only be used once. Check your AREV.EXE is not marked read-only before you begin.
