I have been trying to setup a small 3 user system using Arev 3.12,

Win95 and Lantastic 7.0. After setting up Lantastic under Win95 on

all drives, I have then set all drives to Drive R, (essentially

setting up a peer to peer type network) I have experienced problems

which seem to prevent this process from working correctly. The problem

manifests itself by the system hanging while perform a very simple

task. The task is a small program which uses a saved select list of

some 55000 record ids. The program uses readnext logic to obtain the

next record id, prints the id and a counter to the screen, attempts to

read a record, if the record is not present the routine will print

another line repaeting the id and counter. When run on any of the

machines the routine hangs after processing approx 28300 records, not

always the same record, but thereabouts in the list. Since this simple

routine will not work there appears to be little point in endeavouring

to run more sophisticated routines. I can correct the problem by

installing Lantastic in Dos mode but this really does not resolve the

problem.

If there are any users who have setup Arev using Win95 and Lantastic

successfully I would appreciate any advice that you can give me.
