AREV 3.12 and Win2K Server - Do you use? (AREV Specific)

My largest AREV client, in Chicago (I still need someone who is in Chicago) is wanting to move to Win2K Server with Win98 and Win2K workstations. What, if any, is your experience with that combination? I need both good and bad to convince them that it will be OK and to have them stay with my product (assuming everything works).
Secondly, since they added the Win2K workstations on their NT network, AREV has been really slow. Any suggestions? I've tuned the server and workstations as best I can; Windows stuff is really fast, just AREV is slow. They have the NPP, but it is not installed yet (part of why I need someone there). Will that help a LOT? The system's largest file has 300K transactions at about 500 bytes each.

I would suggest the Windows 2000 service from RevSoft. At a minimum, the NPP.
You should have no special problems with W95/98 workstations. The print queue won't automatically close for a timeout, like Novell, so you can give them a key that does a CALL SETPTR("LPT1":CHAR(0),1) and place that code at the end of your own automated reporting.
Windows 2000 workstations do have troubles. You may have to purchase and install CPUPLUS from Steve Smith. This keeps ARev's keyboard loop from slowing down all other processes on that workstation.

I was using Win2K to Win2K for a few years and I thought the speed was more than adequate. Desktop was Win2K terminal server and server was a Win2K Pro running on a laptop. Yes, that's correct, the laptop was the server and the server was the client.
