We´re running and AREV 3.12 application on a Win NT 4.x platform and having issues

with printing to a network printer. We fire the NET USE command prior to running the

print job, the printer is defined as a network printer that print DOS based programs and

the printer is online….buuuuut, the job gets to the spooler, shows a status of spooling,

but is not released from the queue until you log out of the AREV application. Upon

logging out, the print job is released and it prints fine.

Has anyone seen this and, if so, do you have any suggestions…thanx and have a

great day!

Try configuring a printer that does not use a spooler.

We had the same problem in LANtastic networks.

Setting a time-out was the solution for the problem.

Ypu have to tell Windows NT how long it should wait for an idle task before closing the printjob and start printing.

Good luck
