Folks-

The long-awaited OpenInsight 7.0 upgrade has been released to the Works Downloads section of the website.

With nearly 1700 entities modified for this release, it is a mix of evolutionary and revolutionary changes for a Revelation product.

Some major changes include a new System editor, new Splitter control in the Form designer, a new Context Menu tool, and a new Report Builder.

We worked long and hard on this release; we hope you enjoy it.

Thanks-

The Revelation Development Team

It's been years since I've gotten excited over a software release. I just installed the 7.0 upgrade yesterday and "leapfrog" does not do justice to the changes I've seen. "Quantum Leapfrog" would be more like it. The speed differences in just starting OI or opening a form in Form Designer are phenomenal. The readme should say "Neck brace not included".

Tim,

I think Fibonacci has a lot to answer for.

If you make it to New Orleans, I think there's gonna be one truckload of excitement at the conference about the product.

I've heard 7.1 will feature Dobly ;-)
