As a test, I set up two machines running long queries simultaneously and noticed that it pushed CPU utilization up to almost 90% on our server. The server has a single 3.2GHz CPU.

Is the Windows 2000 service multi-threaded? By this, I mean can it/will it take advantage of multiple CPUs on the server?
