Slow after Win2K active directory crash (AREV Specific)

Background - We had primary domain controller and the arev server was a backup domain controller. The primary domain controller's active directory became corrupted and then filtered to the backup domain controller containing the arev. The following was performed on the arev server only. We tried to do a recovering the directory using the NTDSutil, and the ETETL utility with no resolve. We tried a repair, with no luck and then did a fresh install of the C drive (not the data drive containing arev). Installed the Linear Hash Service. The login and running of the arev application is 8 times slower now. We have restored the arev engine (arev directory only) from 2 weeks ago with no luck also. We have not attached the primary domain controller.
Please help.

Check to see that virus scanner is excluding REV*.LK and REV*.OV files.
We had a similar problem after NT server crash and the anti-virus exclusions were not re-instated after the rebuild/restore.
