A few weeks ago we upgraded to Netware 5.0 and Windows 95, and running AREV 3.1 as a DOS session. One major side-effect ; the Netware's CAPTURE to a Network Print Queue fails. I have been resorting to the Arev command - PDISK LPT2. What has changed ?
( I have been using AREV 3.1 for 6 years at The Geelong Hospital. It has been running successfully as a DOS session under Windows 3.11, under a Netware 3.12 network. )

Capture fails or is too large? When 3.12 came out, the CAPTURE.EXE that shipped with that version was too large to fit inside the PC buffer, so either an older version needed to be used or the CAPTURE had to be issue in a SUSPEND.

There is a free capture / endcap utility
available for my home page. This has been proved workable under Win 95.

I assume that the "captured" is too large. I can print 3 to 6 pages of a simple English report, before loosing the rest of the report.

Is each client reporting a unique @STATION ? If not, then your custom logon process won't know which CAPTURE command to execute.
If you can successfully re-direct even a single character to a network printer, then CAPTURE.EXE is not too large to load and run under Arev when shelling out with the PC command.
The workstation setup screen has the capture statement that is executed by the MEDI.LOGON program. If you shell out to dos and CAPTURE SHOW (or whatever the command option is in the latest incarnation), you will soon see if re-direction is happening as planned.
If you are only getting the first few pages, how many are missing. If its only the last page then it might not be auto ENDCAPPing. What time out interval is specified on the CAPTURE ?
