The system was working fine until this morning. The version of revelation is for DOS and was made by COSMOS.

Apparantly you are running Rev G. But to insure that is correct. What was the appearance of the screen upon successful logging in?

Do you have more than one user using Revelation/Advanced Revelation?

If so, are they able to get in?

Are you using DOS, Windows3.x, Win95/98/nt?

What happened after you were able to use Revelation?

Need to know the answers.

Jake,

What does the Novell menu launcher command line look like? Was this modified by somebody perhaps?

Dale, I am running Windows 98. Loggin in throught Microsofts novell client. The batch files calls a novell menu 4.11 (saber?) I edited the batch file on only one line to get it to work for the past week and that was to stop it from logging into the server since the users were already logged in from the client in 98.

Some possibilities:

1) User didn't log out and a file was open during file backup is still locked by the file save process or even damaged from subsequent access attempts

2) Somebody changed the system login script and drives are not mapping the same

3) Somebody changed Group or User rights to directories or files.

Check with the Sys Admin to see if anything on the network has been changed.
