Need REVG/NT help again (AREV Specific)

As I said in my earlier post, we have a REVG app that we moved to an NT server (Windows 95 workstations). Now we can't get in, getting the error "ATTEMPT TO LOG IN TOO MANY USERS".
Steve Smith told me how to update the drivers so, we mapped a drive back to the old NOVELL server, did the UPDATE.DRIVERS over there, then copied that updated version back over to the NT Server (Mapped to a different drive on my same workstation. While I still had the Novell drive mapped, running the app from the NT drive appeared to work fine. Then I rebooted my machine (dropping the connection to the NOVELL server). Now I'm getting the same error I was before trying to run from the NT Server!
Please help… I must be getting close?
Thanks,
Karen Layton

Karen,
Somewhere you have a drive mapped to that server. The server is off the network, and the mapping cannot be resolved.
ARev attempts to resolve all Novell servers that are mapped or attached. If even one of these server, even if it is not the application server, denies the request for whatever reason, ARev will report an attempt to connect too many users.
We have this happen all the time when a reporting server of ours, that ARev is not even on, has its connection table fill up.
We just have to wait for someone to release a connection so we can reestablish our connection.

When you say you "copied the updated version back", did you copy all the files or only the REV.EXE file? The two files affected are REV.EXE and ROS00000.000

I copied all of the files in the application directory back over to NT again.
We do have a little phantom nuisance thing going on right now where since the workstations still have some old drivers referencing novell stuff, we get prompted for a novell logon sometimes… I'm wondering if this could be related to my REVG problem?
Thanks for any ideas,

Thanks for that explanation - I now have a better idea of what was going on when we had that problem awhile ago. I was going to respond to Karen's previous query with our solution but she appeared to have been given an answer that worked.
Anyway, what worked for us was to increase the number of NT users on the server (this may have been all NT servers - I'm not sure). The NT engineer did it and he said that it didn't cost any extra to increase the number of NT users!? Our "Too many users" problem disappeared when we did this. Karen, can you confirm if this works for you as well?

Jocelyn,
We haven't fixed the problem yet… when our tech guy gets time, he'll remove all questionable things from my workstation, then we'll try it again, I'm hoping that will solve the problem. If not I'll let him know about your solution.
Thanks,
Karen

To anyone interested…
It turns out that we still had the netware client installed on the workstations… once that was removed, we were able to get into the REVG application…
pphew :)
Thanks for the help and ideas!
