Running AREV 2.03 on Windows Client Server Network with AREV network Performance Pack.

Problem: On one terminal (the most frequently used one) we experience the error message:

                 Linear Hash Error
                 DATAVOL\REV*****.LK
                 Group 0
                 Group Calculation Error

This seems to happen when the file is being accessed for the next available record key. What does this mean and are there solutions? It causes the need to re-enter significant amounts of information when ESC is pressed and the system is reset. The file is used frequently and is related to a CUSTOMER file. This only happens on one work station.

Thanks for any help

Rod

Have you run FIXVOL.EXE as suggested in the NPP readme.txt file?

If other workstations are not having problems with this file, then I would suggest 1) making sure that it is not the user by having another user log in to the problem workstation and try using the file. 2) Checking rights/permissions/etc. for that workstation/user. 3) eliminate the possibility that it could be hardware connection (switch pc's and test.)

Hope this Helps.
