Hello all:

I have a site that receives the message:

"Fatal error writing row1.vf2 in table DOS, undefined error during a read-write-delete operation. OS file:5 Status "

when they try a LIST or SELECT command. row1.vf2 is zero bytes, deleted it but it came back. Environment is AREV 3.1 on a W95 peer-to-peer network with the NPP, which I did not install, afraid I do not know much more than that.

Any ideas? TIA,

Mike O.

2 ideas.

Maybe you're getting duplicate station IDs so another station is creating this temp file, therefore it's locked. If so, then see if you can get unique IDs or set up a different sort path for each session.

Other idea is maybe something happened to the logical DOS file. You should have a record in VOC called DOS with field 1 as VOLUME and field 2 as RTP53A
