FS472: Frame 802.3 + NWCli32 3.1 + NLM 5.0 + NW 5 (OpenInsight Specific)

The frame type has been set explicitly to 802.3 in the client properties because that is what the server is using. Could the 3.1 NWCli32 have a problem with this frame type and the NLM? (We're trying to avoid shutting down the server to change it's frame type to 802.2).

Other people who have had problems with 3.1 have been told to remove the Service Pack that came with this Novell driver. As far as I can tell that has resolved everyone's problem.

You might like to encourage your client thru to the frame 802.2 as it is a more "universal" and later standard.
Also I think you may be able to bind the 802.2 without fully downing the server - the protocol configeration re-initialises so impact is minimal.
