We have a customer that is using NT Workstation as the OS for each computer then they are using Lantastic for the network OS. They are experiencing seemingly random data corruption (GFE's). So far it is mainly with ! files (indexing files) but it has happened to data files also. The GFE's are not fixable. We are using the NPP "All Networks Driver".

Anyone have this configuration working? Any suggestions? Any setting that may help resolve this? What about disabling the write behind caching?

Certainly disable write behind caching. Also consider setting up a dedicated index workstation to reduce the chances of GFE in !files.

Jeff,

In addition to Tony's comments, make sure you turn off background indexing by setting the seconds before update to 0. That information is stored in the environment record in SYSENV.
