Question 1:

I have a routine that takes several hours to run. It runs faster if I hit the mouse whenever the windows98 desktop kicks in. How do I disable win98 from taking over the display?

Question 2:

A long time ago I deleted an indexed file without removing the indexing. So whenever I try to list the indexed tables I get a message saying that the file is not available. So how do I get rid of the entry that contains the list of indexed files/tables?

1. Right-click on the shortcut for the Arev app. Go into properties and click the MISC tab. Uncheck the box that says 'Allow screen saver'

1. I had to hunt for the box. It is under the misc tab in win 98.

2. Although the article is for OI, I will try it for Arev 3.12.
