I would really appreciate if anyone knows if I need to run the NLM when upgrading to Netware 4.11 using Client32 with AREV 2.12. I think I do but I am not sure?? If I use MS Client on 4.11 instead is the NLM required??
Any other specific information about 4.11 settings to make AREV work properly would be very much appreciate – I am not a Netware expert so I really appreciate any tips you can give me.
Are there locking or GFE or printing problems with 4.11 – with or without the NLM ??
TIA !!

Fran,
If I understand this correctly, you are upgrading you Novell server to 4.11 from and earlier version. When doing this the NLM is not required during the process. The NLM is only used in association with data access.
Good Luck

Reading between the lines, the issue is not the server version or the client version, it's the workstation OS version.
Now, maybe there's something out there I'm not aware of, but as far as I know, if you're contemplating using a MS client for Novell, you must be on Windows 95 or Windows NT. (True, one could be talking about the Win31 stuff, but you'd still have NETX or a VLM or some other DOS driver).
So, this means, a Win95/NT workstation, and therefore the NLM is required for any Novell server version.
Go ahead and shoot me straight down if I got this all wrong.
