Creating a function to act as master for all promoted events. Each form will have a commuter module. The function will call the appropriate commuter and pass all parameters. I copied the function to SYSREPOSTEVENTEXES and it fires ok. Placed a MSG(…) in the function to display what is passed in the first and second parameters I named ctrlEntID and ctlClassID. How do I know when to return a 1 or 0? For testing purposes the return value is set to 1. When CtrlEntID starts with "MSG" the system gets caught in a loop.

I am obviously breaking the 'secret knowledge handshake' here by letting the 'free' board have this information .. i will have to kill you all once you read this .. but being a libertarian

like just editing some events (non promoted) if you break to debugger then continue the event (gotfocus for example) might get fired again which will cause your debug to happen .. to continue will cause the control to get focus again .. blah blah blah ..

Sprezz's message deals with activate (these are my words parrot phrasing) .. control (window) gets activate .. you call msg which 'deactivates' the close the msg and window gets activate .. what else would you expect than to have a loop?

Fun things with events .. you get what you code .. and Promoted Events (sound of angels on high as you read promoted events .. oops read it again and now angels sing again .. :0) simply move the loop to a higher order

… should you or any of your 'OpenForum' members be caught reading this you will self destruct in 3 … 2 … 1 .. BOOM
