Revelation software is pleased to announce that we have purchased Freedombase Web Ready from Freedombase.

Details of the purchase can be found here, but the gist of it is this:

Revelation will rebrand the product WebOI.

We will include in in OpenInsight 8.1

It will allow you to take your OpenInsight forms and support code, and move them to the web with little or no programming change on your part.

We're very excited about this purchase. It allows our customers to move their applications to mobile devices or browsers very easily, allowing them to extend the reach and functionality of the apps.

This certainly sounds interesting.

We need to know a lot more information on the plans for this facility in 8.1, as the decisions we make may be impacted by this.

If indeed the existing forms (database associated or coded) can be handled, then we are in for an exciting ride.

We have the need to offer our application on the web, and this seems like the tool, so we eagerly await your plans.

Bravo .. we are just in the planning stage of moving an full app to the web and this is the direction we were looking.

Is this the full Freedombase product with enhancements from the last User Conference?

Just to answer my own question, i had a call with Robert at RTI and he gave me a webex demo of it. This is going to be really nice.
