I have just upgraded to OI4.02 32bit and Windows 2000 Service. The application is running on a Windows 2000 server with a mixture of Windows 2000 professional workstations and clients connecting via terminal server.

I have configured the 2.1 Service for pure TCP/IP and the status shows that the LH Service is running. But as soon as I create the REVPARAM file with the parameters "SERVERONLY=TRUE and TCPIPORT=777", I get error FS1019 - Unable to access LH Files. Filing System installation failed (REPOS_BFS – FS110) OEngine cannot open.

This happens with the service configured for Named Pipes as well.

Any suggestions?

Make sure that the service is using the correct port. You need to set the TcpIpPort value in the Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\RevSoft\Revelation NT Service\2.1 and then restart the service.

Thanks Chris,

But how do I identify what the correct TCPIP port is?

Sedick,

We too are running W2K, Terminal Services, and using NT Services.

I checked our REVPARAM and the only entries we have in it are:

ReadOnly=False

ServerOnly=True

Ray

When running pure TCP/IP both the server registry and the REVPARAM file need to identify the same port address. See pages 18 and 19 in the installation manual.
