Using windows 2000, I've noted that UTILITY("CHOOSEDIR",@window,value)

no longer expands the selected directory if you put a default directory in value It used to do this in OI16. Is there another parameter that can force it to do this or is it a bug?

I'm having this problem too…

Has anyone a solution?

It does expand the selected directory in 4.0.1

It does not expand the selected directory in 4.1.3

Thought this might help Revelation support.

I don't understand your question. Are you stating a fact that it does work in 7.0??

Also, is there still support for 4.1.3???

Well Works support covers product released in the past 12 months according to the Works license so if there is still support for 4.1.3 it'll be measured in days. So it is unlikely that non show-stoppers will be patched unless there is a very good reason for doing so.

Sorry for the avoidance of doubt - in 7 the dialog positions AT the subdirectory requested but does not expand it.

I always thought it to be along the lines of…

New version 7.0 released in Jan 2004. Previous version 4.1.3 obsolete one year after Jan 2004.

Whew… Obsoleting a previous major revision so quickly (less than a year from the 7.0 release date) is rather risky (from a user's point of view), in my opinion.

I was considering waiting to upgrade to 7.0 for a month or two more, until some of the bugs get fixed, or at least until the bug reports thin out a little. I consider that to always be wise. Allow others to risk and test the new revisions.

Hmm? Maybe there'll be a 'fix' in 7.0.2? :)
