Is it possible to do Arev screen pops from another program? For example if I want to bring up a client screen from another process, can I run a dos command with parameters such as:
c:\arev\arev WindowName FileId

Yes - depending on what you actually want to achieve this should be quite straightforward.

How would I do this? We are looking at a phone system that may be able to send the callers phone number to the computer system. Hopefully we can take the number passed and open up the client screen.

You just have to cut a little code …..

as Curt says - it's programming .
It'll all come down to the API of the phone system etc etc. The basic idea would be a windows executable running outside of AREV to interact with the TAPI interface and feed info into AREV along with a corresponding background process in AREV looking for it. Not rocket science per se just programming. We've done this sort of thing before but it's not a one line solution and so we can only give you pointers here.

Plenty of ideas , but this is not an end user task, it is a programming task. Do you have the programming experience to do this? (The reason for the question is that the previous postings have enough information for a programmer to know whether they could undertake this themselves or have to call in outside help).

Excuse my ignorance, but I not understanding the . Yes, I have the arev programming experience. If not, I know who to call. Our company is evaluating some phone systems and may want to run a few test to ensure it is possible.
