I have several utilities that use SCRIBE to display a record (@FM delimited) on the screen. This allows me to control what they can do with the record, fake browse listings, and provide printing functionality. This all works perfectly.

However, I now have a request that I'm not sure how to handle. We have a manual on-line that the users can do keyword searches on. The request is to highlight, or reverse video, every instance of the word in the document that is displayed.

I know I can change video attributes by passing escape sequences to PRINT, but is there any way to do this through SCRIBE? Will it change the video attributes if I embed the escape sequences in the document?

If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt Sorrell
