Never saw this but we've been having odd problems with various media when Win '98 is using FAT32. Seems to prevent files from being directly copied from a FAT16 external media device (floppy, Zip, etc.) into the FAT32 hard drive. We can, however, run applications on these devices (as long as they don't copy information back and forth) or we can open files like .BMP's and then re-save them on the hard drive. InstallShield does use temporary directories so I'm curious if this is causing the problem.
