NLM in "REVELATION" user mode (Networking Products)

We are in the process of converting to Windows 95 on our clients. In order to keep our Revelation data files as secure as possible, we would like to run the Revelation NLM in the "Revelation User" mode (i.e., load LHIPXSER.NLM using the /oa flag).
We have installed the NLM in this configuration on our development server and encountered several issues:
1) If the Revelation client is loaded using the /p@ flag as specified, access to Revelation volumes on remote servers is lost. (The other "production" servers run the NLM in "Default" mode i.e., no LHIPXSER.NLM /oa flag).
2) If the Revelation client is loaded without the /p@ flag, access to Revelation volumes on remote servers is retained (but only if the Novell user has access to the volumes).
3) NLM_STATS reports all file locking under NetWare user "Revelation". This is somewhat inconvenient as we are forced to do an additional lookup based on the MAC address to determine the actual client holding the lock. We can probably overcome this ourselves by coding a custom version of NLM_STATS but it is still annoying that this wasn't foreseen…
4) On our development server we have experienced strange failures which resemble those which occur when core Revelation files are corrupted (e.g., REVMEDIA). Unloading and loading the NLM seems to cure these for a couple of hours but they eventually return.
In light of these problems I have a couple of questions:
1) Is it safe to run the client without the /p@ flag when the NLM is running in "Revelation" mode?
2) Can we access remote volumes when the client is run with the /p@ flag and the local and remote NLMs are both running in "Revelation User" mode (this is difficult to test without two development systems…)?
3) Is anyone running the NLM in "Revelation" mode with success?
Thanks for the input…

Perhaps I did not give enough details… We are running AREV 2.12 with NLM 1.1.2. Can anyone provide some answers/feedback!?!? Surely, *someone* is using the NLM in "Revelation User" mode with AREV or OI??? If anyone runs the NLM successfully in this mode I would at least know that I have configuration problems…

With the execption of issue 4, it all sounds like it's doing what it's supposed to.
I don't have Novell, so I can't try anything here, but, I'll post advice anyway.
You either use the Revelation user on all servers or none. If security is really all that important, the load it on all of them, but you'd probably be better off not using it. There can be a slight speed hit using the Revelation user.
