AREV on an NT network (AREV Specific)

Hello again,
We have a time clock module that runs as part of our complete application in our stores. Our stores are running on a Novell 3.1x network.
Recently, we decided to place the time clock module on our corporate systems as well. However, the corporate systems run on NT networks.
I know that we need to get the NT service, but I have a more immediate problem. I cannot get station id's or record locking to work on the corporate system.
Basic question is: Which network driver do I use for AREV running on an NT network?
TIA,
Matt Sorrell

You would normally use the Lan Manager selection. However, if your workstations are running Novell, and especially if you have any on Win95 with Client32, trying to intermix Novell and NT is risky at best.
The problem seems to be that AREV may decide you're Novell on one boot-up, and NT the next. So, if AREV thinks you're Novell, no locks. The reverse is also true; if you're trying to access your Novell server using the Novell driver, but you are logged into the NT network, AREV may think you're NT and - no locks.
I had this happen a couple of months ago, and it was maddening. Worse, the Marx brothers that installed the NT network put on NWLink, and that's almost impossible to get rid of. I had to manually edit every registry that had Client32, and after a day of looking at it, I reformmatted the NT server and reinstalled NT. My client paid a lot of money for me to go to Chicago and do this (plane, car, hotel, etc. - only food money for me - they've been through a lot with me in 3 years of development of a system for them), but they are very happy with the results (not to mention that for $200 in hardware, I took them from a 10BaseT to a 100BaseT network.)
Novell and NT are a bad mix in any situation, but particularly where AREV is concerned. If I were in your situation, I'd set up my workstations to dual-boot, using separate REVBOOT and default DATAVOLUME directories (I only keep my VOc and programs on my default DATAVOLUME so that all my data is in directories that are not tied to any one REVBOOT.)
I hope this helps.
