Fairly simple question for someone…

When defining a dictionary entry for a DATE datatype (D4E), what should the justification and length be? R5 (internal) or L11 (external)?

Thanks, Richard

I usually go for R10. Handles the length needed for display, give the right justification needed for sorting.

Dates, numbers etc should alway be "R" justified if you will ever do sorting. Length needs to be the max needed for the 'format' (DE4, D2/ etc) you are using.
