Remaketable question (AREV Specific)

Hi,
I started getting a GFE message (FS127) about incorrect linkage sizes, so I ran verifylh to see what was wrong. Well, I fixed the problem, but I am confused about something. I guess the table had originally been setup with a framesize of 4096, so verifylh suggested I use remaketable to set it back to 1024. I did that, and everything ran fine. The problem is, if I run verifylh again, it reports that the framesize is 1024, but it is still telling me I should run remaketable to reset the framesize to 1024. Where is it getting the information from? I also have also compressed all unused frames (CTRL-C), and it is still telling me I have too many unused frames. Am I doing something out of sequence?-Mick-

If it were up to me, I'd rebuild the table completely from scratch. Make a new table and copy the DICT and DATA into it. My guess is that the header for either the DICT or DATA is corrupted. This was sometimes a problem when an AREV 2.12 system was migrated into 3.X.

One thing to consider is whether you have more than one file with the same name on different volumes. If you run VERIFYLH on one volume, and the file that is actually attached when you DUMP is on a different volume, you could run into this scenario.
