I recently received a gfs trying to download a file. I tried restoring the data prior to the corruption, but the group file error message still came back. I finally did a DUMP and the gfs disappered, but another error message said the link list for that particular file was broken and to rebuild the indexes. I tried to rebuild he indexes, and it said the file has not been created. the file that the error message asked me to rebuild is not on the file list. I am completely lost. Hope someone can help.

You may need to manually remove the index. There's documentation for this in the Knowledge Base. If you get a link error in a ! file, that means an index file id is missing. Creates list of index trans to update starting at 0,1,2…x. Just create a null record for the missing id(s) and then rebuild all indices for that file.
