I was curious if anybody else has experience this problem.

I'm using IE 4.0 so now all of my folder menus have this new look where they appear raised (like a button) whenever the mouse is floating over them.

The problem is that if I happen to have an OI window floating over one of my folders, and let's say a button on my OI window happen to be in the same position as one of of the menu options for the folder, the menu item will appear to "bleed" through my OI form when I click on the OI form's button.

This image stays with the OI form until I minimize the window or drag that portion of the OI window off the screen and back.

Weird.

Hi Don,

I'm using Windows 98 here, so I will try to reproduce what you are seeing and post my results. If there is anything else that you see with Windows 98, please let us know.

Thanks…

Blaise

Well, that was quick.

I tried to reproduce what you explained to me with no luck. Is there something else that I should or should not be doing?

Well I've tried my best to make a predictable scenario. This is what "seems" to trigger the problem:

1. MDI Frame window with PUSHBMP's on the top (i.e. New, Open, Close, etc.)

2. Only those PUSHBMP's that launch an MDI Child window have this phenomenon occur.

3. The PUSHBMP in question must also be directly "on top" (z-axis) of a menu.

Other variations don't create the problem so it is a tricky one to duplicate. Worse comes to worse I could send you a sample form (and related components) that I already have written in SYSPROG, or you could fly down here and I'll show you personally!

Hi Don,

Let's hold off on flying here for now. I'm going to try what you explained on your last posting and I'll let you know what I find.

Blaise.
