I've read the messages and the limited replies on FS129 error messages, and I'm still not sure what should be done.

I get the following message:

FS129

RTP57

???

LOCAL_GROUP_

I get this on the login and when I do any list. I will restore the VOC and the LISTS (I've already cleared the LISTS file) and see what happens, but may need some other ideas.

Frank,

Based on the REVERROR.DAT file(an error-listing file that comes with OpenInsight), it appears as though this is a GCE, or Group Caluculation Error, which is similar to GFE's.

GCE's can be cause from a variety of things, namely upgrading a older version of the NPP/All Networks Driver. If you have the NPP or the NT Service installed on your server, you should have a file called FIXVOL.EXE within your AREV directory. I suggest backing up your working/live copy of ARev and next time everyone is off the system, running FIXVOL on you tables. This should correct GCE's on your tables.

If you don't have the NPP or NT Service, you shouldn't receive any GCE's and you shouldn't have the FIXVOL program. If this is the case somehow, I'd run a VERIFYLH on your tables and fix any GFE's, similar to the procedure above (back-up, etc.).

Good Luck

Currently, my client has been operating on ARev 3.0 and Novell 3.12 for about 4 or 5 years and have not installed any NLM program. In recent weeks, they have had a series of currupted system files and this seems to be another. I did restore the VOC and LISTS files with no affect. Also, this occurs only on one account. The other accounts are fine.

I will attempt to run a VERIFYLH and see if this helps.

Thanks

I finally solved the problem. I did restore the VOC file, which did not help. After realizing that some of the FS129 message included, WITH, LIST, etc. I restored the DICT.VOC file. That solved the problem.

Regards,
