A Group Format Error (GFE for short) is a form of database corruption that generally requires an experienced consultant to resolve. AREV ships with the tools to analyze and repair these kind of issues but if you have limited training in AREV (and especially if you are missing manuals) you will probably want to hire somebody to help you with this.
