Last weekend converted a token ring segment on the network to ethernet. The metaframe server was on the segment converted.

When metaframe initiates AREV, it displays the following message numerous times and then indicated the number of variables exceeded.

RTP27 Line 1 B12 File has not been opened.

Have tried to manually configure adapter to frame type 802.2 and also to 802.3 without any success.

The parameters when loading the NLM on the server are as follows.

load LH

load lhipxtsr /P:1472

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the actual frame type on the segment?

Is this trying to run from the client or from the actual box?

What client, if the client? There are two places to change frame type, have you changed both?

Run from client. Have tried both 4.8 and 4.7.

My tech person wants to know where the two places are to change the frame type.
