Greetings!

I can't get function smtpmail to work, and wanted to check to be sure the documentation is correct on the parameters and their order. Doc shows:

retval=SMTPMAIL(html_filename, mailservername, sendername, recipient, subject, body, cc, bcc, username, password)

The PDF "how to" by Sean omits the username parameter. Just an oversight I assume.

My ISP's smtp server returns a 220 for the init, then a 250 for HELO, all OK, but that is followed by "FROM-501 need MAIL FROM:" then "RCPT-503 need MAIL FROM:" and finally, "DATA-503 need MAIL command"

All my parameters look correct with a "sendername" properly identified.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Paxton

FROM:

SMTPMAIL usually issues a FROM - try your sendername both with and without angle brackets.
