If anyone is looking for an export utility which automatically normalizes multi-value fields, produces fixed, variable and DBF format (with memo fields) - we have posted our in-house utilities at http://exorsys.com/revelation.htm.

You know .. you might mention that this is only a demo and that the real tool costs 250$ instead of 'implying' that it is free " .. we have posted our in-house utilities … "

I have a couple of clients that will be looking at the utilities.

Thanks

Not to mention that this should have been entered in the the Developer Network section instead.

All the utility functions, reports and consultations are fully usable and free.

The only cost is for the actual xPort process. I didn't think this was

the place to advertise our products and services. We will be listed under development tools shortly.

No sleight-of-hand was intended.

Here…

exports tables to text files from the dos prompt.

this is the demo (250 record limit I think). but we are going to remove all the demo junk and re-release as a full working version sometime this week.

Mr BizSoft

Did I read this right? you routine actually extracts data from the lh file (dos) not from within Rev/Arev/Oi

Well done! Is there a Rev ODBC driver on the horizon? We have been planning one for a while.

We have received some complaints that the main xPort utility on our website has been posted as Shareware. We apologize to those who misunderstood the previous message as implying that all the software components were free.

Sorry, been on the road a bit. Yes, we read OI and AREV files directly from the DOS prompt and/or 32 bit applications. We've had it for some time now but the market is very limited.

Unfortunately we do not have a true ODBC driver. Its an app written specifically for the purpose of exporting out of OI/AREV into whatever format is required by our clients.

We are behind. We will definately be re-releasing this week, the full version for all to use.
