I'm trying to run a DOS file.bat in AREV but I keep

getting an error of "sharing violation"

file.bat contains:

copy eltron.ext prn

I then changed the file to:

copy eltron.ext lpt1

(eltron.ext file contains printer commands for eltron

label printer.)

I used suspend "file.bat" in AREV, this didn't work.

Then I tried perform "pc file.bat". This didn't work

either. Both methods gave the same error.

If I exit AREV and run it in DOS, it works.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

Madeleine

We are having a similiar problem. We have routine that exports

data to an ascii file from a win95 workstation on a nw4.11 lan.

Periodically we get an access sharing violation. Does Win95 also

require Share to be loaded? TIA, Jim

SHARE.EXE is sort of loaded by default of Win95. It's VSHARE.VXD and it get's loaded with Win95 decides you need it. It would be in the SYSTEM directory.
