We've been running AREV 3.12/NLM 5.0 on NW 5.1 sp4 with 98, 2K and XP Workstations. A very infrequent but annoying error has appeared. to the effect of "…No workstation ID found…" It seems to be SERVER specific because AREV on another Server to the same WS works fine. I was under the impression that the NLM is controlling this. Has anyone else come across this? Shutting down and rebooting does not seem to help. However replacing the workstation at one point did resolve the issue but has not resolved it since.

The network interface card may enable you (via its config) to assign an address. Check that this is set. Then AREV may be able to utilize it.
