I've been advised that on a number of sites I have updated - one table in particular is now confused.

Collector windows which read in the file and display its various records - show blank fields.

If we edit the particular record from the command line, it thinks it is in DOS format.

If we do a Shift F8 (Convert to DOS Format) then we do a Shift F8 again (convert to REV format), then it becomes accessible and legible again and usuable via the collector windows.

What have I inadvertantly trigerred to make it do this?

Thanks in Advance

I was thinking, and it sounds like, maybe you FTP'd the files at one time. And is it also possible you used the Ascii / Binary mode incorrectly???

I think I may have done something to the dictionary, but I don't recall anything else.

The question is - how do I fix it?

Copy the record to another table using the (R) option which converts CRLF to @FMs. Then copy it back.

Shift F8 should toggle between @FM and CRLF delimited. You can check which delimiter is in use via Shift F7 (one vs two character delimiters). Just F9 it when it is @FM delimited.
