RTP57 line 1 Max number of variables exeeded
Then shows message box with

Running NT Service.
Computers are turned on in the morning
Arev started from short cut with UserId / Password entered by user.
Arev will crash after 1/2 hour.
"End Task" Arev in task manager
Start Arev and is OK for rest of day if you dont logout.
The Abort errors are:
RTP57 line 1 Max number of variables exeeded
B161
Click OK then

I do have a background task running that asks for password after index idle time (no activity) has been reached. Could something there be wrong, but has been working for years before Win2000.
They also recently installed NT but I am sure it was running ok after that (Novell before that NO NLM).

Are you using the "C" code-command type when you ask for the password? I remember that it had stack problems if the collector wasn't closed.
I also find this problem sometimes when users have multiple copies of ARev running on the same workstation, by mistake.

No I am calling a program "S" command.
The program apears it must have been a Revelation/Sprez example for asking for user id's password in a index hook.

Went to site to try a few things.
Discovered that there was no RevParam file, so installed that with ServerOnly=Yes
Appears to be running OK, well, I could not get it to fall over
Also realised they were running Windows 2000 server not NT server, which I thought could be the problem with LH_SERVICE, but as all is ok then seems not.
Can LH_SERVICE be officially run on Win 2000 server

The short answer is YES. The NT service has been re-named to the Win 2000 Service.
